3 men charged in several CVS theftsHARRISON Three suspects are in custody in connection with thefts Wednesday from CVS pharmacies in Harrison, Rye and Mamaroneck, police said. Wednesday on Boston Post Road, near the New Rochelle border.

At least some of the stolen items were recovered, including hundreds of dollars’ worth of Crest White Strips and razor blades that the chief said had been taken from the Harrison store.

“Unfortunately, CVS pharmacies are targets for this type of activity,” the chief said.

Russell was also charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, after police said a pipe containing crack residue was found in a bag he was carrying.

Marraccini said that on Tuesday Harrison police arrested Dijon Herbert, 30, of the Bronx after he tried to use a fraudulent credit card at a local CVS.

He said Herbert had apparently made more than a dozen credit cards himself. That case is under investigation.

Mamaroneck man accused of abuseMAMARONECK A 42 year old village man has been charged with sexually oakley abusing a pre teen girl who just recently reported the crime more than six years after she says it occurred.

Anthony Ballone was arrested Saturday and charged with first degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony, for incidents that occurred in the village of Mamaroneck between July 2003 and December 2005, Lt. Robert Kosiak said.

Town of Mamaroneck police handled the case to avoid a possible conflict of interest because Ballone has a relative on the village police force.

The Westchester District Attorney’s Office told town police about the allegations on Friday, Kosiak said.

Ballone is being held on $100,000 bail at the Westchester County jail in Valhalla, pending a hearing in Town Court today.

Cops: Boy made threat with macheteNEW ROCHELLE A 17 year old boy was accused of threatening a city man with a machete, police said.

Edgar Lopez of 528 Main St. Sunday, D oakley etective Capt. Joseph Schaller said.

Police said Lopez and a group of friends were involved in a dispute with other males when the suspect threatened a 25 year old man with the weapon near 97 Walnut St.

Police were called and said they arrested Lopez as he tried to flee with five other men in a red Honda Civic. They recovered the machete nearby.

Lopez was charged with second degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

Yonkers pair face charges in mall theftWHITE PLAINS Two Yonkers residents face petty larceny charges after being accused of stealing wallets and purses from the Galleria mall, police said.

Genevo Ruiz, 60, and Daisy Pedro, 51, both of 100 Heriot St., Yonkers, were arrested Friday afternoon af oakley ter cops said they stole two wallets and two purses in an organized fash oakley ion at Macy’s in the Galleria mall, 100 Main St.

Security guards told police they watched as Ruiz took the $157 worth of merchandise and handed each item to Pedro, who used wire cutters to remove the security tags before placing them in her bag.
